Effective Communication
At Playtime Day Nursery communication is a key factor between home and nursery.
Our practitioners know the importance of building a strong bond and relationship with all the children that attend our setting, however it is also just as important for our practitioners to build a professional relationships with our parents and guardians.
At Playtime Day Nursery not only will parents/guardians get face to face contract with practitioners from their child’s room on drop off and collection, they will also have access to our free online app which is available on both Apple and Android platforms.
On enrolment parents/guardians will be sent login details (specifically for your child). Key areas of the app will be detailed below.
Activity Feed
In Famly, you have an Activity Feed for your child where you can see status updates, photos and much more!
Its really useful to be able to see what your child’s been up to throughout the day.
Communication
We use Famly to send messages with information such as meals, bottle feeds, nappy changes, sleep and what your child has been up to through out the day along with upcoming events.
As a parent you can also message us, inform us of your child’s sickness or holidays and like and comment on the activities and photos we record.
Learning Journeys
We record all our observations using Famly this links to the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
Furthermore not all learning happens in the nursery you are able to record observations at home and we can then link this to the EYFS for you.

Photos
Its a great feeling to log in and see your little one having a great time at nursery and the Famly app is the place to go to see the photos and videos we take.
Invoicing
Famly will allow parents to access their invoices showing both outstanding and paid bills, keeping all your data in a secure, convenient location.
